Does Spidey Have A Marvel Problem:
In this view, Peter’s internal question isn’t really about character development, it’s about Marvel’s own indecision regarding what their most beloved IP is supposed to be for them: a teen drama, a quip machine for merchandising, an Avengers-tier power player, or a street-level responsibility advocate. The executives can’t pick, so neither can Peter.
