๐ฝ Miscellaneous
- We should bring back blooper reels at the end of movies.
- Pets, particularly dogs, should always be allowed on the couch. Dogs that are not allowed on the couch are being treated as second-class canines.
- The best way of sitting, in order, is (1) on the floor (2) on a stool (3) on the arm of a sofa (4) one leg up on a table (5) a regular chair.
- There is no polite way of asking someone, โDo you exercise?".
- Collared shirts and business ties stifle creativity.
- iMessage should allow me to create hyperlinks instead of pasting the entire URL.
- Deep down inside, everyone is โa foodie.โ
- You should be able to thumbs up or thumbs down trailers in the movie theatre; a trailer with too many thumbs down gets skipped.
- The little ellipse indicating that you or someone is texting back should be banned. It is anxiety-inducing social surveillance disguised as reassurance.
- A grilled cheese is the most perfect kind of sandwich.
- ๐ฆ: Iโm stoked. Owls are so cool.
- ๐ฆ๐ฆ: I think itโs a lucky day.
- ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ: Iโm buying a lotto ticket.
- ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ: Iโm checking for cameras.
- ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ: Changing my name & doing the squirrel scene from Rick & Morty.
๐ค Been enjoying these absolutely hilarious videos this guy has been making to deflate some of the AI hype and expose the limits of these tools. Worth the 1-minute watch.
๐ This is not a drill! Thought it was satire at first… Sadly, it is not.
Read more about it here.
๐ Last week, I added a search feature to my micro.blog. Being a non-technical user, it felt like a real achievement. I see it as a solid step to ensuring that this space can function as a rabbit hole for people (especially myself) to discover and rediscover pleasant things. I love micro.blog.
๐พ I am proudly Gen Zโ but only barely make the cut. My most millennial trait is that I love a good GIF (and I am not afraid to say it).
๐ช Sort of niche but exceptionally usefulโ found out that Virginia Tech has an extensive ratings list of scientifically tested helmets.
From bicycle helmets to construction to football, their findings are 100% objective and free from marketing influence. Am getting my next skate/bike helmet nowโฆ
๐ชด My local library in Brooklyn had a โplant swapโ on Saturday, where I escaped with some great new greenery. I absolutely love this kind of interconnectedness and community-building.

๐ I made up a joke, tell me what you think:
Question: What do you tell your friend when he wants to message a girl but is too scared?
Answer: โCarpe DMโ
๐ After a popular part 1, here are more Subway Takes for those of you who might need to borrow some opinions in a pinch:
๐ Interviews & Podcasts I’ve enjoyed recently:
๐จ Recently discovered and canโt stop thinking about Kimiyo Mishimaโs amazing ceramic work that replicates printed, cardboard, or breakable material.
Incredible commentary on commodification, overproduction, and the information age. You can also find a simple, insightful interview with her here.

๐ฎ I am not much of a gamer, and I don’t typically enjoy jokes that are at other people’s expense. But… the game trailer for Karen, a self-described “3D action beat-em-up sandbox game where players will embody a disgruntled Karen who’s been denied service to her satisfaction” was so, so funny to me.
๐ You can tell a lot about a person by the intensity or complacency with which they treat the 30-minute mandatory lunch break.
โ๏ธ Came across a wildly fun video of Kendrick Lamarโs 2025 Superbowl performance in American Sign Language from deaf interpreter Jeremy Lee Stone. Itโs well worth the watch.
However, itโs his breakdown of the interpretation and explanation for his choices that is easily the most creative thing youโll see all week. Itโs a beautiful blend of artistry, language, and expression. I donโt know sign language, but I feel this gave me an even deeper appreciation for the deaf community.
๐ I’ve mentioned this before, but I am truly rooting for guys like iShowSpeed. His tour of Africa was such a fun showcase of nations, ethnicities, and culture. Watching him do interviews out of character always reminds me how polite, intelligent, and successful he is–at only 21 years old!
Yes, I had to look up the definition of โwuthering.โ
My answer:
๐ฐ Apparently Drake placed a $1 million losing bet on the Patriots yesterday.
Still a better Superbowl for him than last year.
๐ข Well, a random Youtube Animator has made the coolest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adaptation since the originals. No AI was used.
๐ญ In 1609, Galileo made six watercolor paintings of the moon for his book, Starry Messenger, from one of the earliest iterations of a telescope. These paintings are the first realistic depiction of the Moon in human history and lie squarely at the intersection of art and science. Captivating, isn’t it?
